Birthday request from granddaughter

My granddaughter, Natalie, saw the single color rainbow bracelets I am making and requested this for herself. So I quickly made it up tonight. :)
And here is the tiny wrist wearing it. :)

Update on bracelets

Just thought I ought to let you know how many I have gotten done so far. I have 16 done so far.
Thankfully I do the bracelets in the color order you see here(top to bottom) so that way I am not getting tired of one color over and over. And the pattern is easy enough that I haven't had to over-think and can just keep going. I have gotten frustrated several times when I shredded the thread while making a join and had to cut the shredded thread off and cover more ends, but it hasn't been horrible. :) Have an awesome day today!!! :)

2012 25 Motif Challenge #14

I have finished the Butterfly edging and sewn it on the skirt(skort-skirt with shorts).
The pattern is from Tatting Doilies & Edgings edited by Rita Weiss #6 on pg. 38. I think this pattern turned upside down resembles bows so it could be used a different way too. :)
It's tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Girly Girl.
This first picture is a copy of the scan from our new printer(I need to figure out how to use it yet).
This second is a photo from my camera to see the whole skort.
I made 2 butterflies to put at the bottom to dress it up a bit more.
Have a great day!! :)

More green burn gel and tatting to show!! :)

Well, I have more green burn gel on, but this time it's on sunburn. We went to an amusement park for only 3 hours and I got good and burned. And later we went fishing, but I actually put on my sunblock to try and avoid making the burn worse!!! So here are my arms. My face got it too, but the picture was too scary to show with the green gel. I looked like something out of a horror movie so I decided my arms would do. :D

I don't know if you remember back when I worked a women's ministry weekend and made 70 double hearts on paper clips-link here:
Well, I am to work another one and this time I am making bracelets(hopefully enough for everyone). I am making single rainbow colors and adding a rainbow cross charm to each.
I wanted something simple so I decided to just do rings and chains. The pattern is just 5p5p5p5 for the Rings, and 10ds for the chains-except at the ends and the chains are 8ds. I have these 6 done and I know it takes about 2 hours to make each one.

And I already have someone else who asked for one with a butterfly, so I will have to work on that when possible.
Today I am busy stitching the butterfly edging on the skirt(skort) for my granddaughter since I actually finished it this weekend too. :)
Have an awesome day everyone!!!

2012 25 Motif Challenge: Motif #13

Here is the first pair of socks done. The edging is Tatted Edge and the pattern is here:
They are tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Scottish Thistle. And they are ruffly. I had to make them ruffly due to the kind of socks I used which need to stretch to put them on, so I stretched them while sewing on the edging(not easy or fun, but worth it)! They are really adorable in real life and I can't wait till my granddaughter sees them!

I love the way the tatting came out, but I think I should have read the pattern better. The edging looks like the picture, but when reading the abbreviations I noticed that I was supposed to use only the first half of the double stitch and I just tatted regular double stitches, just incase someone else does the pattern.
Oh, and I couldn't get a good enough picture of these so they were scanned and this is the best I could do. :)

Dragon delivered :)

This is the sweet 4yr. old boy receiving his dragon yesterday.
He wanted to play with it, but grandma said he could hold it for a second and then she put it away so she frame it and he can have it for a long time.
And this is his grandma overly excited about the rainbow cross I made for her.
And this is her good friend stunned that I had a cross for her too. And her daughter had come a long too and I gave her a bracelet which she really likes.
