A Rainbow of Dangles

60 Dangles ready to surprise a bunch of ladies on the retreat I am making this weekend.  I thought it would be nice to bring something to help us all remember the wonderful time we had(will have).  I will give these to everyone just before we leave.  :)
Not sure if I will have any time in the next few days to be on here, but I want to wish you all a wonderful and blessed weekend!!  :)

A Bookmark and a Cross(very small cross)

Here is the hanky edging turned into fancy elegant bookmark.
It's tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Purple Iris Fusion.
Oh, it's about 8 3/4 inches long.  :)
That facebook page I posted about in the last post put up a pattern for cross earrings, so I had to try it.
It's tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Island Breeze.  I love it!!
Here is the size comparison for those who are wondering.  I put my Clover shuttle next to it.  :)

Neat Facebook page to visit

A friend sent me a link to a facebook page of some neat tatted cross earrings.  She said she thought of me when she saw them.  Well, I followed the link and found this page with neat tatting all over it.  Thought I would share.  I don't know who it is.  https://www.facebook.com/Tattingbox
Hope it's not wrong to share this.  If it is, just let me know and I will delete the post.

Suggestions needed from Experienced tatters

I am working on an edging from the Big Book of Tatting by Darlene Polachic.
The edging is on page 9 top of the page calle White Trefoil Edging.  I am wanting to use it for a hanky edging and can't seem to figure out how I should work the corners.  I am wanting to get this done by the end of this Saturday if possible,  but not knowing how I should work the corners is holding me back a bit.
Please help if you can.  Thank you!!  :)

My daughter wearing my tatting. :) And her smiling face! :)

I tatted this motif wayyyy back when I first started tatting 4 years ago in size 10 cotton crochet.  My daughter loved it and last year requested to have it sewn on her summer capri pants.  And today she is wearing them so I had to get a picture!!  She wouldn't let me put up a full photo and isn't quite happy with this one, but you can look past everything and see the tatting on the jean material and the tatting by my window.  :)
***For Jane:
This is my beautiful Sarah!!  This picture is almost 3 years old now, but she still looks the same(except the tattoo that came home with her a week ago(which you can just see a blip of in the top photo on that leg).  She just finished her 2nd quarter at college for Sign Language Interpreter Training and she is doing well and so proud-as we are too!!!

Blue Coaster which isn't blue :D

I truly love how this came out!!!
I decided to experiment with the quilting thread and my size 40 Lizbeth.
I was thinking that if I used the quilting thread for the chains that the Lizbeth thread would make it thick enough to work well.  Nice thinking, but it didn't work out correctly since if I would use the Lizbeth for everything then it would all be doubled since you wrap it around itself then.  Well, that meant a little re-thinking.  So...I doubled the stitch count for the chains and it seems to have worked pretty well.  While tatting the 2nd round I thought it wasn't going to work cuz' it was warping the shape of the center, but I finished it and it cupped a bit, and I stretched it a little and it laid beautifully so I continued with the 3rd round and here it is.  I love it!!  It's about 3 1/2 inches across.  :)
Oh....the pattern is Blue Coaster from the Big Book of Tatting designs by Darlene Polachic.

More suncatchers and a bookmark

This suncatcher is tatted with size 40 Lizbeth Island Breeze and cheap kids plastic blue beads.
This suncatcher is tatted with size 40 Lizbeth Scottish Thistle and cheap kids plastic purple and green beads(the green beads have a slight blue hue to them, but when it the light it doesn't show as much).
And then this beautiful bookmark.  It's Hearts by Dee Powell from the book Tatted Bookmarks Needle & Shuttle.  It's tatted in size 40 Tat-ilicious HDT from Jess called Queen Anthias.  I love how beautiful it is, but I am not sure if I can use it as a bookmark, because I had to block this one to get it straight-so I wetted it down with water and pinned it to paper towel and some of the pink and purple colors bled onto the paper towel and I wouldn't want that to get on pages of books(unless they are mine forever-then no problem).  So I am thinking that this bookmark is for me.  :)

Somewhat addicted to tatted suncatchers :D

I have continued with the bangle suncatchers.  I have altered them a bit trying to make them fit better and tat a bit easier while tatting and joining to the bangles(not exactly succeeding on easier, but I still love them).
The first is tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Island Breeze, and some cheap plastic kids beads.
Next, is size 40 Lizbeth Scottish Thistle, and cheap plastic kids beads.
Next is MINE!  :D  I love this one and it's just an experiment.
It is tatted in size 40 Jess' HDT Queen Anthias, with a doodad from Jolimama in Hungary, and cheap plastic kids beads.  I am keeping this one for myself.  It needs to be stiffened because the center sways bad, but I will brush some fabric stiffener on the back of the chains heavily and let it dry and that should do it.  I love how this turned out and can't wait to see if there is something else to try in the center!  :)

Suncatchers

I tried something different when attaching them to the bangle bracelet.
Joining while tatting is quite frustrating and hard!!!
This first one is done with size 40 Lizbeth Angels' Love, cheap kids plastic beads and a red and silver bangle bracelet.
This next is done with size 20 Lizbeth Royal Wave, cheap kids plastic beads, and a blue and silver bangle bracelet.
Sorry the scans aren't great!!  And for anyone interested...I purchased the bangles at Walmart in 4 packs(I figure they are out for the 4th of July, but they work great for these so I will probably get some more).

Tried something new again.. Rosalie

Here is my first attempt at a Piney Woods Tatter pattern.  It's one of her free patterns called Rosalie.  I only did the first 2 rounds.  I want to try again in a smaller thread.  This is tatted in Lizbeth Foam Latte size 10 with clear beads.  I think it's ok for a first time try.  I need to pay better attention to details.  :)
Here is the link to the pattern:   http://pineywoodstatter.blogspot.com/2012/07/rosalie-free-pattern.html
Please forgive me for forgetting to add it sooner.
