More tatting completed today

First finished is a requested pair of size 40 Lizbeth Vineyard Harvest cross earrings from this pattern:  https://www.facebook.com/Tattingbox
Next is the same pattern in size 100 Rainbow Bright HDT from Tatskool.
Next, is another mini motif from the book Motifs for Marie by Kaye B Judt.   It's tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Raspberry Pink Med.
Next is an idea of mine.  It will be a bracelet, but it really needs some work.  At least this one looks like a bracelet!  I tried a week or so ago at making a bracelet and ended up using a bookmark pattern.  :)
Below is what it looks like laid out.  It has no clasp yet, but I will get one soon.  :)
Oh, and it is tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Vineyard Harvest.

Tiny Flower motif

I got the earrings done I needed and will post them later, but I just had to tat something for a change and looked through one of the books I received from Fox called Motifs for Marie by Kaye B Judt.  Well, I tatted this tiny flower which is motif #7 in the book.  As you can see by the penny, it is small!!  :)
Oh, it's tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Wildflower Garden.

Almost as exciting as Christmas morning!!

Had to get a color I didn't have so I could tat a pair of cross earrings(that is the color in the center of the pile with the blue clover shuttle-Vineyard Harvest)...and had a $70 prepaid credit card that had to be used before the end of this month(I had forgotten I had it).  Well, this is the result(well...plus a few extra dollars).  I have many new colors to play with now!!!  And the 5 spools on the right are for a (hopefully) Christmas surprise!!  :)

Next part of Piney Woods Tatter Tat-along done

Well, I have the next part of the tat-along done.  And below I have both pieces as Rachel does on her blog.  :)   I was also able to get a small pair of my rainbow dreamcatcher earrings done for Priscilla today.  :)

New beginner tatter

This little angel is 12 yr. old Priscilla.  She is a part of our little church group.  Last weekend we had our first church picnic and she was there.  She has had a bad family life and rarely ever smiles.  Well, this past weekend she smiled a lot!!!  She came home with us after the picnic and spent the night.  While she was here she was spoiled with swimming, candy and snacks, lots of attention and some gifts.  I have these beautiful earrings from Fox that I love, but cannot wear since I don't have pieced ears and don't wear earrings.  Well, this little angel saw them and loved them so much that I made them a gift to her.  As you can see she put them on and graciously allowed me to get a picture to share.
She received a few other tatted pieces of mine, and then asked if I would teach her to tat(let me tell you that it was 11:00pm on Saturday night and I had to be up early to get 10 lbs. of potatoes ready and mashed for our Sunday morning church meal-which follows our lesson).  So, we sat and she learned how to make a ring.  I let her take some thread and a shuttle home with her to practice and I can't wait to see this weekend how she has done.  :)           Below is a close up of one of the earrings.

Piney Woods Tatter Tat-along Round 2 done

Doing my best to make this turn out right.  While tatting the chains they wanted to do their own thing, but I think after straightening them and then putting them under a heavy book they should behave without too much problem.  :)   Oh, and since this is shuttle tatted I just kept drawing the ball thread through so that I didn't have to cut it, and I put the shuttle through each chain so that I could get the woven effect.

Give-away winnings, garlands, and a bracelet

My winning package from Fox's give-away came.  Look at the wonderful things!!  3 books, 1 ball of thread, and 1 pretty shuttle.  :)  Can't wait to try some of the new patterns, but that will have to wait till late August or September.
Here are 2 very small Christmas garlands which will decorate artificial wreaths.  The red has size 40 Lizbeth white.  The blue is done with size 20 Lizbeth Blue Ice(everyone's favorite so far).
Here is a bracelet for me.  It's not what I had planned, but it's ok.  The pattern is from Tatted Bookmarks Edited by Babara Foster.  It's called Flowers(it's a bookmark turned into a bracelet).  The thread is size 40 Lizbeth Wildflower Garden with flower beads.
Due to the fact that I didn't know how the beads would turn out on here I only had enough to do the front of the bracelet, so the back is plain, but my daughter says it's great so you can set your wrist down without having beads underneath.

More large dream catcher earrings

Here are the 2 pair of dream catcher earrings I did yesterday and today.  I did the blue first and the green second.  The blue are in size 40 Lizbeth Peacock Blues and the green are in size 40 Yarnplayer's HDT Celery.  Notice??  Different color feather charms.  I picked the colors which seemed to go best with each color.

Lime Green Med. & Juicy Watermelon Suncatcher for me. :)

This suncatcher is about 4 inches across.  I wanted to make it with Lizbeth Lime Green Med. & Juicy Watermelon(both size 40) since I thought they would go nice together.  It needs a little shaping, but since I started it months ago and just finished it last night I wanted to show it.  :)
The pattern is  the Small Round #11 from the Ultimate Book of Tatted Doilies.

Size comparison of dream catcher earrings

Well, here are all 4 pairs of dream catcher earrings I made this week.  As you can see there is a size difference.  The center back are my "large" earrings, the center front are "medium" and the rainbows are the small earrings.  The centers are both tatted in size 40 and the smalls in size 100.  I will need to buy size 80 or 100 to continue to do the small ones.  And....I have another request-this time in Peacock Blues).  Guess you know what I will be done today.  :)

Raspberry Pink dream catcher earrings

I only have a good picture of one because the charms on the other one didn't lay nice on the scanner so I cut that part of the picture off since this one looked really good.  These were requested by a young 12 yr. old girl from our church.  It will be a nice cheer-up gift since her dog just died this week.
These are tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Raspberry Pink(Med.-I think)  :)  And the ring isn't a plastic one, it's actually a metal one, but it would take too long to explain it.  :)

Small rainbow and large Scottish Thistle dream catcher earrings

I have one pair of the small rainbow dream catcher earrings done and am working on the second pair needed.  Oh, these are tatted in Tatskool's Rainbow Bright HDT size 100.
These are the large pair tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Scottish Thistle.
I have now tatted 4 pairs of these(3 large & 1 small) and I still have 2 small to get done, plus a pair of cross earrings too.  I wonder if I will be able to tat any thing other than earrings again.....I have to!  I have other projects still needing finishing and tons on my want to do list!!  :)

Smaller dream catcher earring accomplished

The scan is lousy, but the earring is ok.  I am ok with it, but wishing it was better(for my perfectionist side).  :)  I have to make a second to complete this pair, then another pair, and I am also working on 1 large pair and have 1 done.  :)

A Purple Iris Fusion dream catcher earring

A friend saw my daughter's rainbow dream catcher earrings and requested 1 purple pair for herself and 2 smaller pairs for her granddaughters so they could have "look-alikes".  So, I did this one and showed her and she loved it, so I made the other and have finished them off with the earwires and delivered them to a very excited lady.  Her granddaughters' earrings are in the works, but I ran into a dilemma...they quit selling the smaller hoops like this one, so I am trying something different and going to see if she likes it or if I need to find another way to make them.
Plus, I have another request for another pair of these which is being tatted in Scottish Thistle, and another smaller pair in pink.  Wow!!  Didn't expect these to be so popular.  :)

Tatting inspired banner-a gift for me. :)

The retreat was totally awesome!!!  The ladies loved the dangles!!!
and a friend who made the retreat decided to surprise me with a banner(poster sized) for me to remember it since I was "leading" it(actually God was leading and I was just following his will).  I thought I would share it because it's special for due to the fact that she knows my love of tatting and wanted to include it some way(she is an artist).  Here is the banner:
She is the artist of the picture which I had for the weekend, and if you see the designs on the top and bottom in the pink, she said that she loves the tatting I do and wanted me to have something special to remember the weekend and she tried to create a design inspired by tatting for me to have.  How special is that???  She is awesome!!!  :)    See, tatting even inspires others.  :)
