Another suncatcher and 2 crosses

This suncatcher is Sue Hanson's Val's Suncatcher:  https://web.archive.org/web/20120811100815/http://freespace.virgin.net/bo.hanson/Tatting/CrystalRing/CrystalsRing.html    (Sue Hanson kindly gave me a working link to her pattern for those who are interested).
It's tatted in size 40 Yarnplayer's HDT Celery with 4mm peridot bicone beads.
This is for my 2nd mother-in-law to go with the red and white cross from the previous post.
And I finally finished these 2 crosses for some dear sweet ladies I know.  :)
These are the Big Crosses from Tatting Patterns & Designs from Gun Blomqvist and Elwy Persson.
Tatted in size 10 threads.
That's it for tatting today!!!  :)  Have an awesome night!!!  :)

A New(to me) Cross Bookmark and a New tatting book

I love this design!!!!  I hope to do some more later, but for now....this Cross Bookmark (pattern from Jennifer Williams here: http://www.cariad-tatting.co.uk/patterns.crossbookmark2.pdf ) is for my 2nd mother-in-law.  I inherited 2 mother-in-laws when I got married and love them both.
This is tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Christmas Red and Angel's Love.
And....I have another new tatting book!!!
Can't wait to have fun with all the new threads and books and beads and whatever else this year!!!  :)
Have a happy tatting day!!!  :)

4 Suncatchers

I have been busy and tatting busy too.  I have several projects I need and WANT done and am trying hard to get everything done.
These are suncatchers for some wonderful senior ladies.
The upper left and lower right are size 40 Lizbeth Rainbow splash with gold bugle beads,
the upper right is size 40 Lizbeth Fruit Fizz with iridescent bugle beads,
and the lower left is size 40 Lizbeth Sea Island Citrus with green beads.
I have also made 3 crosses which need ends sewn in,
and I have another suncatcher to make- so expect to see another (hopefully) soon.

Another cross done

This is The Graduation Cross Bookmark from http://wandasknottythoughts.blogspot.com/
It's a very small cross.  It's tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Pink Blossoms.
I was drawn to the pattern because of the almost tiny cross in the center of the pattern.
It was finished off after this scan and delivered and totally loved!!!  :)
Here is a comparison of the last 3 crosses I have tatted.
The first 2 are in size 40 and the last is in size 10.
And I am currently working on another one of the large size 10 cross.

2015 25 Motif Challenge # 1 and another cross

Still getting a chance to tat(yay!!!!).
We have 2 new ladies in our Sunday night group and I want them to have tatted crosses too, so.....
The first is done.  It's in her favorite color: orange, I used size 40 Lizbeth Orange Crush.  The pattern is Amelie from Tatted Bookmarks-cross shaped by Lene Bjorn.
I am using this as my 2015 25 Motif Challenge # 1
due to the fact that is was a challenge for me.
I needed to pay lots of attention, tat rings on SCMRs(which I chose to do instead of all chains like the pattern says-I did SCMRs for the large "rings" at each of the 4 "points").  I need to add a "tail" yet.
But I am pleased with how it turned out.  :)
***For those who have this book, this cross in size 40 is the same size as the picture in the book.
The next is not a challenge, very simple!!!  And I have done it many times.
It's not for the 2nd lady....I am waiting to find out her favorite color.
It's about double the size of the orange cross.
It's tatted in size 10 Aunt Lydia's white and (I call it rainbow) Mexicana Vatiegated.
I need to add a "tail" to this one too.  And finish ends on both crosses.

Last test tatting today.

This one is much prettier in the color Elaine used which I believe is Lizbeth Elderberry Jam, but I think it's still pretty!! :)
I tatted it in Tat-ilicious HDT  Kaleidoscope  size 40.
Taking a tatting break for the rest of tonight
(but thanks to the weather I have had 2 days with tatting!!!)    :)

Test tatting again.

This is very beautiful(ends aren't sewn in yet),
but it's too short for me(I ran out of thread on the shuttle).
It's tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Boysenberry Dk.

Hope your new year of tatting is starting well!!! :)

Well, Christmas was very nice to my tatting stock!!!  :)
I actually got to pick everything out myself so it's extra good!!!  This first picture is of all the goodies I "received" for Christmas.  :)  Lots of thread, beads, and extras, plus a new book!!!
Since last year was so super busy for me I wasn't able to share lots of things I "acquired" throughout 2014.  There was probably more, but I can't remember.  I sure hope this year to be able to tat up many of these beautiful threads and much of my new Christmas tatting items!!!  :)
I have been test tatting for Elaine P. Gan  at Test Tatters on Facebook again.
This was my second test tat this year a heart in Lizbeth size 40 Juicy Watermelon.
This is an earring(which is my second attempt at the pattern), and it's tatted in Lizbeth size 40  Green Coral Sea.
We had one of our seniors from our Sunday night Bible group pass away the week before Christmas.  At her memorial was this beautiful banner.  While I was sitting there I noticed that from the distance it looked like tatted snowflakes.

Upon a much closer look I noticed they are stickers, but I think some could be tatting inspirations.  :)

I also think someone more talented than me could actually create a banner as beautiful as this in tatting
(maybe not as large cuz' this is huge, but either way it would be gorgeous and a treasured keepsake I am sure!!!).
I have many tatting goals this year and I am hoping to meet most if not all of them!!!  :)
Have a wonderful and tatting filled day!!!
